A Thorn from the Past

Throughout life, there are people whom we hurt along the way.. most of the time, never intentionally but out of weakness and imperfection.

One of those whom I've hurt was my Form 5 History teacher, whom I bumped into today.

Evidently, she's still bitter and unforgiving over that one incident that occurred out of an accident, not ill intentions at all.

It was probably the most awkward conversation I had in 6 years, but I tried my best to apologise again.

I may be responsible for that accident, but I am not responsible for her bitterness.

This incident also reminded me of how going to IPG Kampus Batu Lintang in 2007, felt like heaven. I never knew teachers/lecturers could be SO nice, caring, supportive, friendly and inspiring!

Uni. of Otago heightened that experience, where lecturers were all called by first name and they really listened to what we had to say, no matter how silly it could be.

These 6 years of tertiary education have been nothing but wonderful - God put so many amazing lecturers who've really blessed my life, and from whom I've learnt so much from.

Bumping into Pn. Lucy, was a reminder of how amazing the many lecturers I've met these past few years. I'm truly very thankful and honoured for all the goodness they've deposited into my life.

Also, it has reminded me how gracious, patient and slow to anger the Great Teacher, Jesus Himself, has been to me and all who belong to Him.

Thank You Father for your Son and Holy Spirit.. constantly guiding and teaching us.
