MENJ, thought it was a woman's e-magazine when I saw it on PPS.

Let me present to you, Malaysia's current most talked about blogger who's been the big topic on many famous blogs, especially Minishorts.

Friends, meet MENJ.
A short preview of some of his posts -

I'd say he's a very controversial Muslim blogger. In the beginning when I read this, I thought maybe there'd be some nuclear bomb that would identify all Christians and do wtv a nuclear bomb does to its target - on that day,

But it turns out that you could make your own newspaper article too, here!

Check mine out ->

The full title is actually "Humans may soon eat only veggies"

Anyway, just recently he blocked all IP addresses from Malaysia. Guess it's because of all the attacks that he's got.

Something from.. er, you check out the link up there in the pic. Thanks, whoever you are.. doubt you'd even notice this.

Ah, I've not nothing much I want to say. Personally, I find his attacks on Christianity very narrow-minded and selfish towards Christians who do visit his blog. On a neutral point of view, he brings other religions (not only Christianity) and tries to make Islam look good.

Ex :

"Hence our conclusion remains: that while Christianity is
indeed a religion of blind faith and one of the broken heart, Islam is the
religion par excellence, of logic and rationality, bringing the
previous religions of mankind to a completion."

What really did piss me off was when he called 68, 000 "anak luar nikah", bastards. Included in his post was a clipping out of a newspaper,

Yes, the term is meant for children born out of wedlock, but I doubt the way he say it was from a neutral "oh this is the real word for them" point of view. Sounded as though they were bad people.

"At this rate, it won't be long before we will become a nation of
bastards"

What I don't understand is, why is he blaming our PM?

"Thanks a lot, Pak Lah. Thanks a
lot."

Er, I don't see our PM giving birth to kids out of wedlock, or fathering them. Confused here, hello? In his comments, he explains that he blames the government for allowing this to happen. That's not very fair isn't it, because the government sets the rules and the citizens are expected to follow it, even though many don't.

Takkan he expects the goverment to hire officers to accompany every Muslim couple on their date, and go around the housing areas (and maybe playgrounds) and make sure everyone who's having 'WooHoo' (as labelled in the Sims2) are married?!

No matter how their parents had them in the first place, he shouldn't call them bastards in the way that he sounded like he meant.

Using the defination of a bastard, is just a defense.

Btw, I think he edited his post. I remember something about him saying that these a Muslims who are giving birth to children out of wedlock.

---

To me, he gives me a bad impression of a Muslim. I'm sorry to have to label him by his faith, but that is what he mainly is about - his faith. He makes that part of him, stand out. And it isn't exactly in a way which I call respectable.

I am GLAD, that I have Muslim friends who indeed show that Islam is a religion of peace and tolerance. And, not all (not even most) of them are suicide bombers or hijackers.

Do visit MENJ's blog and join in the controversy! Sometimes his narrow-mindedness just makes you shake your head and pity him.

(I do hope this does not offend my Muslim friends, well.. not sure who actually visits but ya. I'm sure you guys know I have nothing against your faith or you because of it.)

Hurry! He might just block Malaysian's IP adresses AGAIN, haha. I think it was a smart move, especially when people were coming up with ideas of reporting him to the police. Which isn't the wisest move in my opinion.

Just a few bloggers' post related to MENJ :

Minishorts - Why I’m not about to ‘let it be’, A call to wipe out Christianity, ‘In The Name of Allah?

Bebas - In Defense of MENJ

DrearyHeavens - MENJ: Gone too far

Reduced and Recycles - Open letter to MENJ

Footsteps in The Mirror - What Menj Has To Say

He could be the XiaXue of Malaysia. Controversial, very controversial.

Ahem, anyway..

Did YOU know that that legislature concerning slavery in ancient Greece allowed guardians of unmarried women who lost their virginity to sell them as slaves?

Hehe, that was super random from Wikipedia's Did You Know section.

Can't make this post too serious right? Not me lah.

And btw, my family friend Uncle Halim has been warded into the hospital for Dengue and his platlet count reached 8 at 3am last night. I don't know what's the normal number, but hey.. 8's a LOW number ok! What's worse is that Aunty Noor was supposed to be warded too, but because this is his first time being admitted into the hospital - she decided to take care of him and just deal with the pain.

If this isn't called true love, I don't know what it is.

Do keep them in prayer, as Aunty Noor has requested us to pray for them. So please, please pray for both of their recovery. Thanks :)

Hahaha...I noticed it!!. I noticed it!!

Anyway, someone has to stand up for things like that anyway. It's just about the balance of things. :)

Think i accidentally typed kamigoreshi when trying to go back to your web. Was a lil too lazy to check the pic again hehe.

Stand up? I agree. But I don't believe that we should attack him back.

That's one big indirect lesson shown by Jesus.

Thanks for visiting my blog eh, I LOVE how your pictures appear when clicked. Super chun ;)

It happens all the time. People usually remember it better when they find out the meaning to the name. :)

Well, I'm not a follower of Christ but I do follow common sense and common sense tells me that you should always do the right thing at the right moment at the right time. Usually we don't know when that is, but this situation is pretty much clear cut to drawn a line and say it just isn't right.

As for the pictures...thanks. It's a little Javascript. I think you can add it to your own blog as well. :)

haha, so what does the name mean ya?

Oh yea, I just realized you were not a Christian when I revisited your blog. Sorry about that!

Lil javascript eh? HTML's for me already. :P

Well...you got to read my blog a little more to find that out. It's right there in the open. Don't sweat it, I like people having think I'm a Christian. Helps blend in better. :) HTML is a little...aged. Besides, you can download that script and follow the instructions. Makes things easier.

Grace said...

Haha ok. HTML IS aged, I'm not updated :P

Ok, hopefully I manage to do it if I'm not feeling lazy :P

thanks ya :)

I just don't get why some people can't tolerate other people's beliefs...well, this is a matter of opinion but I mean, what the heck can't some people just live with the fact that some people choose to be Christian, others choose to be Muslim etc.

Why can't they just accept it? And no, this is most definitely not freedom of speech which is clearly stated as 'kebebasan berucap dan mengeluarkan fikiran dengan BATASAN TERTENTU' .......well, islam may be a most profound and par excellence religion but people like benj don't really mirror that though, yea, like grace said; we have plenty of friends in common who probably potray islam in a better light....

maybe i should just rant in my blog but grace, I agree with you bout not attacking him back :)
*sigh* I just don't get Christian bashing...

Grace said...

you mean MENJ instead of benj is it? Haha, Benj's the friend who commented the first - in case you got it mixed up.

yup. i guess he was brought up in a different enviroment maybe.

we're much more blessed :)
